Dr. Hryniuk’s research focuses on medical education and learning. This research is mainly focused on medical education pedagogy and curriculum design. This has included developing and determining the effectiveness of innovative instructional designs, learning tools, and assessments that promote learning and critical thinking in the medical education curriculum.
Dr. Alexa Hryniuk has been an assistant professor in the Department of Human Anatomy and Cell Science since fall 2019. Previously, she was an assistant professor at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Hryniuk had been researching medical education and developing health sciences curricula since graduating with her PhD.
Dr. Hryniuk is responsible for development and delivery of embryology content in a variety of programs health sciences and undergraduate programs at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Hryniuk is also the course director for Women’s Reproductive Health 1 for the Max Rady College of Medicine.
